Our official First Personal Narrative

I must say that I am not a great writer. AT ALL! When I read that our lesson plans called for an upcoming personal narrative lesson I almost passed out! lol...well, not really, but almost. lol I figured it was time to brainstorm on how to get my 4th grader to really enjoy writing. What does he LOVE to do? hmmm....Ah, write about building his tree fort! I had a feeling it was not going to be so dreadful after all. To my amazement the child flourished. He was coming up with his own paragraph ideas and details. I have never seen him write this good. You see this is the beauty of homeschooling. Gearing it towards ONE CHILD. Personalizing it to fit his needs. I was in awe the whole time. This summer he wasn't even close to writing a paragraph and making any sense. Now, he is just on board. One on one is heavenly. Thank you Lord for guiding me to homeschool my son.

The garden is growing faster by the day.

We are so ready for the harvest! I can't help to think that we I will be grocery shopping in my backyard. What a great feeling. I am looking forward to clipping more fresh herbs and some great veggies. The pumpkins and cucumbers are still growing the fastest. Our basil is out of control. You want basil we've got it! Rosemary is super happy too. Between our garden and the organic eggs we pick up locally we are turning totally green.

The teacher needed to sew!

Made this for my sweet Lexie Bree

The Organic Veggie Garden is on a roll!

Well, 4 out of 8 4x4 square's are completed. We are so excited. Everything is surviving and growing everyday. The cucumbers are in competition with the pumpkins! The marigolds are not that great considering a lil person watered them a little too much LOL.

If I get some time this weekend I'll post some more pictures.
